Reading Corner
Our Multilingual Fact-Checking Toolkit
The stack and rituals that keep English, Hindi, Arabic, and Malayalam scripts in sync.
Localization Crew1 min read
Running four language channels means accuracy can’t be centralised. Instead, we distribute authority across local studios and keep everyone aligned with a shared toolkit.
Toolchain highlights
- Terminology vault. A Supabase-backed glossary with pronunciation audio, transliteration notes, and contextual examples.
- Source diffing. A GitHub bot compares language scripts and flags mismatched stats in pull requests.
- Review sprints. Twice-weekly syncs where language leads review upcoming topics and backlog community suggestions.
Rituals that scale
- Daily flash briefs. Editors send a 90-second Loom summarising new research threads.
- Cultural context cards. Writers log sensitive topics with guardrails and alternative framings.
- Local hero shoutouts. We celebrate audience submissions during Friday livestreams to keep contributions flowing.
We never auto-translate scripts. Instead, localisation teams co-write with the original author using shared Figjam boards and voice notes.

We’re partnering with universities to expose anonymised source grids so journalism students can shadow the process. If your newsroom wants in, reach out via partnerships@factsarena.com.
